Frequently Asked Questions

We believe that starting therapy should be as clear and supportive as the sessions themselves. Find answers below to help ease your journey toward healing.

About Therapy

Is psychotherapy right for me?

Whether you're navigating a specific life challenge or seeking deeper self-understanding, therapy offers a dedicated space to pause and reflect. If you feel 'stuck' or overwhelmed, reaching out is a brave and meaningful first step.

What is your approach to mental wellness?

We utilize a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that honors your unique story. By blending evidence-based practices with radical empathy, we help you find the tools to thrive at your own pace.

Do I need a referral or diagnosis?

No. You’re welcome to reach out for therapy without a formal referral or diagnosis. If an assessment or diagnosis would be helpful, we can talk about options together.

Booking & Fees

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, we offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation. This is a chance for us to connect, discuss your goals, and ensure we're a good fit before you commit to your first full session.

Are your services covered by insurance?

We do not offer direct billing. Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for Registered Psychotherapists. We recommend contacting your provider to verify your specific coverage details prior to your first appointment.

Sessions & Policies

Are sessions virtual or in-person?

To meet you wherever you are, we offer secure virtual sessions across Ontario and warm, and in-person care. We can discuss which format feels most supportive for your needs.

What is your cancellation policy?

Reliability helps us provide the best care. We request 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your scheduled time, which allows us to offer that space to another individual in need.

How long is each session and how long will I be in therapy for?

Each session is 50-minutes long. The length of your therapy journey varies from person to person. Some people notice meaningful progress within 8–12 sessions, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and adjust as needed.
