Anjali Aggarwal
The Heart Behind Your Healing Journey
My name is Anjali Aggarwal and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO and a Canadian Certified Counselor with the CCPA. I provide trauma and EMDR virtual therapy for adults navigating the lasting effects of childhood experiences, emotional neglect, difficult relationships, and trauma. Perhaps you've spent years putting others first, questioning yourself, or trying to understand why certain patterns keep showing up in your life. You may feel tired of managing the same struggles and ready for something to change. Whatever brings you to therapy, my intention is to offer a space where you feel safe enough to be curious about your experiences, understood without judgment, and supported in moving at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is grounded in the understanding that our early relationships and experiences shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate the world. Sometimes, the ways we learned to cope were necessary at one point in our lives, but no longer serve us in the same way. Together, we can begin to explore these patterns with compassion, making room for a deeper understanding of yourself and the experiences that have shaped you. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, our work can help you explore what may be happening beneath the surface, including the beliefs, protective responses, and relational patterns that continue to affect your life today.

In therapy, I draw on attachment-focused approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support deeper healing and lasting change. I believe therapy is not about fixing who you are, but about understanding the parts of you that have worked hard to keep you safe, reconnecting with your needs, and creating new ways of relating to yourself and others. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and attentive to your individual experiences and needs. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Together, we can work toward a greater sense of self-trust, emotional connection, and the freedom to live in a way that feels more aligned with who you are and who you want to become.

Therapy Approaches
We integrate diverse, evidence-based modalities to support you in building deeper insight, effective coping skills, and long-term emotional resilience.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Attachment-based therapy explores how our early relationships with caregivers shape the way we connect with others, understand ourselves, and navigate relationships throughout life. By understanding these patterns, therapy can help you build greater emotional security, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of connecting with yourself and others.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a therapeutic approach that explores the different parts of ourselves, each with its own thoughts, emotions, and protective roles. Through curiosity and self-compassion, therapy helps you better understand these parts, heal emotional wounds, and develop a greater sense of inner balance and self-acceptance.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a structured therapeutic approach that helps the brain process distressing memories and experiences that may continue to affect your emotions, thoughts, and daily life. Through guided bilateral stimulation, therapy can help reduce emotional distress, shift unhelpful beliefs, and support healing from trauma in a safe, supportive environment.
